Nob Hill originally opened in the Galleria before expanding to a warehouse location in Edina. In 1999, Mike and Beverly Karch purchased the business, bringing with them years of industry experience through their ownership of Floyd Total Security, a well-established security and locksmithing company. While their background was rooted in commercial hardware, they recognized an opportunity to provide homeowners with a broader selection of beautiful, high-quality decorative hardware.

As demand grew for designer cabinet pulls and knobs, luxury bath hardware, and distinctive finishing pieces, Nob Hill continued to evolve. The showroom moved to Uptown, where it shared a building with a Floyd Lock Store, before eventually relocating to its current home in Golden Valley.
